Nearly 200 volunteers share their time and talents each week to help The Care Service prevent homelessness and hunger. For more information, visit our volunteer page.

Multiply the food, cleaning supplies, and personal care items needed for a household by the 300 families who rely on The Care Service Food Pantries each week and you can begin to imagine the quantities we need each week. If you would like to help keep our shelves stocked, please check our Food Pantry Wish List for our currently “most needed” items.

Donations may be dropped off during our regular business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm). Donations may be dropped off in the grocery carts outside our main entrance located at the circle drive. 

Consider donating Meal Maker Kits to our Food Pantry! Each kit includes all the non-perishable ingredients needed for a healthy recipe, along with the recipe itself. To complete the necessary ingredients, The Care Service will provide the perishable items necessary for the recipe. 

In addition, we often have specific needs to restock our Street Outreach vans with supplies for people experiencing homelessness, items needed to set up our transitional homes, and for our Adopt-A-Family Program at Christmas. 

The Care Service is dedicated to providing the assistance, support, and resources needed by individuals and families facing a housing or hunger crisis to take the first steps on their path to a new beginning. By honoring someone’s memory with a memorial gift or making a gift in honor of someone’s birthday or special event, you help us be there when someone reaches out during a time of crisis. The Care Service will send a memorial or tribute card to the person being remembered or honored.

Memorial and tribute donations may be made using the online donation form and providing name and mailing address for the tribute card in the comment section.

If mailing a memorial or tribute donation, please include the name of the person being remembered or honored as well as mailing information for the card. Mail donations to The Care Service, 4116 McClay Road, Saint Charles, MO 63304.

Stock Donations are a great way to help families facing a housing crisis. For more information and details about making a stock donation contact Donna Tobin, Director of Development, at dtobin@jacares.org or 636-441-1302 ext. 6681.

Did you know that you can donate directly from your retirement account to The Care Service? As a qualifying non-profit, donations made directly to The Care Service may be excluded from taxable income. As always, check with your tax or financial advisor regarding your personal situation.

NAP Tax Credits are available through The Care Service to any Missouri business or corporation, including individuals who own businesses or farms as well as those who receive income from royalties or rental properties in Missouri. These 50% Missouri tax credits are available for donations of $1,000 or more. Consult your tax professional for more information. Available credits are limited. Missouri taxpayers who make a donation of cash or food supplies to a food pantry may receive a credit of up to $2,500 per taxpayer per year. Taxpayers may take a credit of 50 percent of their donations. Designate your contribution for our Pantry at time of donation to be eligible for these credits.

DOUBLE your donation. Many employers match donations made to qualifying non-profits. Contact your employer to see if your donation to The Care Service can be matched and double the impact of your donation.
